And then the Bar Went UP! ...again.

"No one's capstone proposal survives implementation." 😬

I arrived at a left turn this week and was challenged by my professor Jen Kramer.  In a nutshell - make the learning experience a better experience.

Apart from figuring out how to codify lessons in Visual Branding  - that I have never seen before (that's a bit ironic).  Being more than just a talking head seemed to me to look like window dressing.

If I can make the videos more interesting with great slides and fantastic 3d created environments, surely that will raise the bar on my course.

I mean - all the course I have taken online have been a total talking head bore - surely me putting some care into my course will make it better!

Jen kindly pointed out to me that I can kill the video portion of my course in my sleep (not Jen's words). But it's true, the hurdle for me was codifying the lessons and creating concision.  5 minute lesson instead of 20 minute lectures (which still seems short).  But how can I make it an experience?  How can I edify and make it the best course they have ever taken?  - Challenge accepted - with reservations, cause that's difficult!

Kajabi as a platform isn't friendly to interactivity. It's a talking head LMS.  I have spent the last several hours drilling down into html ideas.  I created and edited a sample lesson video in EDPuzzle and embedded that into kajabi  - this works, but it's not slick.

Next up - H5P.  I know Kajabi can handle I-frame embedding, so I'll see what I can make in the open source learning platform.... not going to lie - I'm excited about this one, I think it might be the answer.  Fingers crossed that I report back next week with a sample- iframe win!
